Sparrow ~ $36

This piece is pretty special. I had acquired these sparrow charms from ebay because they were done very lively. Although it looks rather heavy, but trust me, it is not! I believe it is the way the bird is made, that it's weight is even spread out! Rather surprising huh?

Sparrow is one very cheery pair. Done in red and purple, this piece is easily matched against all skin tones! Putting together clay and plastic flowers, a wing cloisonne, a bronze sparrow charm, Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and more, I've created a very pretty pair of earrings!

Garden Fresh ~ $38

Wishing everyone a very Happy Lunar New Year!

These two days of break has been good..not that I've been very busy at work but who doesn't want extra holidays? =)

Holidays give me time to make new pieces and update this blog!!

Presenting to you Garden Fresh! I've named it as such because this piece just brings a sense of freshness to me. Just look at that amazing colour combination, something definitely very unique! To the left, flowers nicely wired on a filigree with a pink tensha bead, Swarovski crystals and a pewter fan charm all the way from the States. To the right, similar flowers wired on a larger filigree with a gold butterfly, a tiny jade barrel, matching Swarovski crystals and a pink rhodonite drop. Love it to bits!

Graceful ~ $36

I love this piece! I've realised that over the years, my creations have become bolder and more unique. I've used to experiment with one or maximum two colours in each piece, but now I seek to bring out the various colours in each piece, blending new combination of colours!

Graceful is one very sweet piece! I've named it Graceful because both the swan and crane are graceful creatures. This pair shows a graceful crane cloisonne with white, pink and red flowers. Matching that crane cloisonne is a pewter swan charm with similar flowers, Swarovski crystals, a bronze connector and a grey semi precious stone.

Much prettier in reality, photos not so well taken due to gloomy skies!

Orient Chic - $40

It's been a long long while this space go anything new. So much has happened in the past few months and now I'm awaiting to enter my new job. Feeling excited yet apprehensive, but I thank God for the year that's about to come to a close. =)

Orient Chic is one of my newest creations.
I love the mix of colours peach, blue and black!
To the right, I've used a black elongated cloisonne, painted with flowers and butterflies, matching blue Swarovski crystals and a huge peach clay flower. To the left, a very interesting infinity knot jade piece, together with crystals, flowers and an onyx rectangular drop.
A very oriental and pretty piece!

P/S: Price is slightly steeper due to that jade piece but definitely worth it!

Summer Delight ~ SOLD

A very bold and unique piece!
Colours of strong peach and bright blue dominate the creation, as found in the flora cloisonne. Matching it is a huge bronze butterfly with similar coloured flowers and tear drops! And not forgetting those complementing swarovski crystals..they're great stuff!

This piece is indeed one special pair, either you like it alot, or you don't!
There is no place for in betweens.

When moonlight shines ~ SOLD

I love this piece!!
From the colours to the theme of the earring, it just doesn't seem to be one of those earrings that I would make. =)

When moonlight shines is a fusion of my cloisonne and my charm specialties! It speaks about twilight, when the night creatures come out to hunt. I've used very subtle colours of nude, pink and purple in this piece, along with a crescent moon cloisonne and a bronze toned owl charm.
Other miscellaneous materials include swarovski crystals and a semi-precious pinkish white rondel. (have no idea what stone that is, bought a strand of it at a gem fair just becos they look gorgeous! =grins=)

Fish-Jin Lian ~ $36

As some of you may know, I have this thing with goldfish, esp jadeite ones. N this obession has lead me to create a range of earrings with goldfish in them, Fish-Jin Lian adds to that collection!

Lively gold fish charm that is extremely pretty, hand-carried from HK and incricately made! If you look closely, you can see through the scales of the fish. This charm is 3D, making it even more real! I've put together other materials including a lotus pond cloisonne, flowers, freshwater pearls and more!
Though I still have a few of those charms, I definitely will be using them sparingly! I horde my treasures well. =grins= Simply in love with the highlight of this piece - that golden fish charm!

Flying Fairy ~ SOLD

Flying Fairy was the earring that was sold instead of Garden Fairy. Got it all mixed up!
Similar design to Garden Fairy, but done in red, pink and white, this piece is gorgeous!
To one side, I've used the pink fairy frame with Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and a filigree packed with flowers and pearls! To the other, I've used a gold filigree to hold flowers, a humming charm bird, Swarovski crystals, chains, a pewter fairy charm and more!

I really love the bright colours found in this piece!
Glad it was purchased as a gift for someone's special occasion!

Garden Fairy ~ SOLD

On my recent trip back from HK, I acquired more of these framed fairies. The last time I bought only a couple back and they were so well received that I thought I should make these in a variety of designs so that more can enjoy my creations. =)

Mirage is done in an awesome colour! Tones of blue, turquoise, pink and gold just blend so well together! To one side, I've attached a filigree filled with flowers and a glass drop, on top of an elongated flora cloisonne, with Swarovski crystals in-between. To the other, a round matt gold filigree wired with flowers, another glass drop, Swarovski crystals and gold chains!

Summer Pretty is one of my creations using my signature jade donut. Jade donuts are pretty things, they come in a range of colours and matching them with a suitable cloisonne just bring my great pleasure!

This creation features a whitish jade donut hanging from a filigree filled with flowers, charms and freshwater pearls! Dangling from the donut, I've used a bird charm, swarovski crystals and a tiny peach glass drop! The other side is simply done so as not to take the attention away from the jade donut, an elongated white cloisonne painted with flowers paired with a large clay flowers and swarovski crystals!
A very pretty pair of subtle yet lovely colours!

It's been a while..Updating seems to have slowed down tremendously on this bloggie.It's really beyond me sometimes to juggle so many things at one go..
I have not forgotten this space, in fact, making new designs are still very much a weekly thing for me..just that posting them takes awhile..plus my other label usual snaps up my newer designs.

Business has been surprising month after month..July being prolly the best month so far. This definitely calls for a celebration! =)
The other update is, I will be particiapting in an upcoming flea, more details once my application is firmed up. So watch this space!!

Back to Calm, I rarely make symetrically earrings. Somehow, this piece just came out symmetrical. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. Gorgeous colours of purple, blue and gold on that cloisonne! Reminds me of waves as I walked down the seaside! I've paired each cloisonne with a filigree packed with flowers, leaf charm, czech glass teardrop freshwater pearls and more! Topped with swaorvski crystals, this is one true babe!

Glorious Flight showcases a gorgeous butterfly cloisonne, painted with a lovely combination of reds aand blues. At the top, swarovski crystals and a plastic carved flower. On the other side, a flowered filigree (one I rarely use, becos the holes are too big) packed with clay flowers and a golden butterfly charm, a new round connector, swarovski crystals and a bright blue glass drop!

Summer Parrot ~ $36

Wow! It's almost a month since I've updated this space. Time REALLY flies when you are busy huh? Just came back from HK last weekend, still in the midst of tying some loose ends, which includes filing of my insurance claim, accounting for our expenditure, packing my new items, etc etc!! Oh!! I've so excited to show my new acquisition in the next few creations!!

Summer Parrot is a bright and cheery piece I've created amidst some very warm weather. Putting together a yellow enamel parrot-shaped cloisonne with several other materials, including clay and plastic flowers, chains, freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals, a huge newly acquire yellow semi-precious bead and more! Definitely a stunner against some long black hair!

Swan Grandeur ~ SOLD

I've been missing from this page for almost a month! Have been really really busy! One of my pups have been sick the past 2 weeks, so I've been running to the doctor so many times, whether it is to collect medicine, prescription food, to visit the doctor, see my hospitalised pup or to go for review...so much so that I cannot remember how many trips I've made. =(

Besides this, my consignment goods have had a record sales last month, so there was a bit of rush to create new pieces for the shoppe. Hopefully sales will continue to pick up, I'll be much more prepared this month. =)

Life at work has been rather peaceful lately..which is good for me. Time for me to rest after a hectic two months into the job. Will be taking a short trip back to HK this month end..very much looking forward to it. This time, other than our usual business buying, we will be attending the gem fair! Very excited to see what it has to offer! Can't wait!! For those who want some jade products and haven't drop me a note, please do so..so I can keep a lookout, esp if you need some lovely jade/pearls/semi-precious stone earrings for gifts!

I just came back from a wedding dinner and tot I should post this before I leave for a cell retreat over the Vesak Day Holiday.

Moving from the eyes, we now focus on the cheeks!
The focal piece in Rouge is that powder and its tools, the puff and the brush! Done in bright pink, rouge is the thing that gives colour to a pale face. Just as how I've deliberately used pink to brighten this creation of mine!

Updates

The past few weeks have been very tiring for me, so much so that I don't have the time and energy for my hobby. =(

For those who know about my lil one, he went home to be with Lord last Tuesday. Though he was born with a birth defect, he struggled to live for exactly 4 weeks before succumbing to lung infection. We miss him terribly but becos of the rest, life still goes on.

I guess it may be better that he no longer needs to suffer. =)

Besides having spent alot of time caring of that lil one, I also had to cope with a change in my workplace. I officially moved to a new department from 1 Apr.
Life has turn hectic due to the many adjustments and the shortage of manpower in my new department. Feel very drained mentally and physically. Extremely thankful for the many holidays this month.

Enough of updates from my personal life..updates on this shoppe!

More designs out tomorrow, haven't had their pictures taken but will do so tomorrow morning!

This piece gives me a very mysterious feeling. Maybe it is becos of the deep and dark colours of black, purple and green. I'm always looking out to bring different colours into a piece and the end result of this mix of colours is quite unique. Pleasantly surprised. =)

This is what I've been busy with! =)

My dogs have officially become parents with the arrival of 5 pups. They were delivered yesterday, but coming up to that big day, I took time off from my earring making to spend time with her. Now that they out, my week ahead will be spent ensuring that they are doing ok. =) Can you tell them apart? I can't..haha!

P/S: Pups are not in sequence of their arrival!

Will not be making any new designs this week, however, I do have a couple of new designs done though photos are not up yet. Garden Spring ~ $36

(Petite Range)

Garden Spring is one of the petite range of cloisonne earring we've come up with. If you've been following us, our range of cloisonne tend to be slightly longer and heavier due to the usage of materials like jade and chunky beads. This time round, we've managed to get hold of some smaller cloisonne and tinier jade pieces to bring to you this gorgeous petite range.

Garden Spring was actually meant for the New Year but we still manage to make it in time to for our Spring 2011 collection! hehe! Using this lovely pinkish coloured cloisonne, I've complemented it with materials like matching coloured swarovski crystals, a matt gold butterfly, a tiny yellowish jade fish, clay flowers and more!

This babe is perfect for petite ladies!

Winged ~ SOLD

Simplicity is key to this beautiful pair. Bold colours of black, hot pink, pink, gold and grey makes this one a sexy piece! hehe! Not too sure about you but deep and bold colours always invoke a certain level of sexiness in me!

To the left, I've used a large matt black butterfly with a tiny cluster of flowers. Dangling from it is a teardrop-shaped gold connector followed by a glass black drop! To the right, I've used a wing cloisonne, swarovski crystals and a plastic black flower.

Very simple, yet outstanding!

I'm happy it now belongs to my recently acquainted friend!

Streets of London ~ $36

I haven't been to London, but when I saw these charms, I knew they belonged to London!

A red hand-painted telephone booth charm hand-carried from HK, coupled with the London Bridge charm truly reflects the iconic features of London. I've used flowers, swarovski crystals, chains, connectors, charms, glass drop, plastic beads, etc etc!

What I really enjoyed about this piece is how I arranged all other items to work around the 3D telephone booth charm.. I just had to make that the focal piece of this pair of earrings!

Definitely one-of-a-kind only!!

Prime ~ $35

Hot from the oven, Prime was created last night! Am in love with these turquoise clay flowers recently, so my creations will tend to feature them quite a bit this season! hehe!

This time round, I've matched turquoise with yellow, giving it a very very fresh look.

Prime means the best of one's life..and spring is indeed the prime of a flower's life!

Paired with gorgeous clay flowers, both turquoise and yellow, swarovski crystals, chains, a tensha bead, a large citrine bead and a turquoise-coloured semi-precious drop (Have no idea what stone is that, but it's definitely not glass!).

This is one bright and cheery piece that cannot be missed!

Akane ~ SOLD

A very cute set of earrings! Kawaii!! Haha!!

Transformed from a keychain, this Japanese doll is the centrepiece of this pair. Coupled with a large gold diamond-shaped connector and swarovski crystals, this piece literally brings the child out in me!! The other side features a huge red Japanese cloth bead, sitting on top of a tiny gold sakura flower. Hanging from it is a gold butterfly charm, swarovski crystals, chains and a coral carved leaf!

It's been on display at many fleas but finally has found it's rightful owner.

And I'm happy for both the owner and my creation!

Just a note

As you may have realised that in the past 6 months, we have used more unique parts and charms in our creations. As much as we enjoy the entire creating process and would love to keep our prices as affordable as we can, the truth is inflation is hitting us.

Material costs have gone up and the fact that the more unique materials are, the higher the price you might have to pay.

We're writing these because we know that many of you have been with us for a long time and we just don't feel fair to increase prices without informing you all the reason. We will try our very best to keep prices low, but do understand that it may not be as low as before.

At the end of the day, as long as we still hold our day jobs, this will continue to be a hobby that we want to share with all of you.

Lady Qing's Backyard ~ $36

Lovely shades of purples, gold and green, paired with floral bits here and there, introducing Lady Qing's Backyard! Walking in her backyard simply excites all senses, from the sight to the smell and eventually the touch! Gorgeous!

I've put a beautiful purple cloisonne together with a purple clay flower and swarvoski crystal clumps. Hanging from within is a golden flora bead with a tiny purple swarovski crystal. To the other side, I've used a whitish purple jade rectangle bead to signify the beautiful carved walls surrounding her garden. From it dangles a clay bead, a golden butterfly, swarovski crystals and chains!

Love the uniqueness of this design!

Azure ~ SOLD

Azure is one of two blue "coloured" earrings I made specially for a particular someone. She loves blue and had mentioned before that she wished we had more blue pieces. With that in mind, I created a couple of blue pieces prior to my meeting with her. She loved them so much that she brought both pieces home.

When I meet a someone to show them my collection, I always make it a point, if I know them well enough, to make something of their liking. Sometimes I don't tell them that these pieces were made with them in mind so they don't feel the pressure to buy these pieces. =) But I'm very happy that most of the time these special pieces go home with who they were made for..

Azure exudes a certain calmness wherever I look at it. It feel as if I'm looking out of the window on a clear blue day or as if I'm looking at a some still waters of a lake. Peaceful is what I'll describe it to be. Twirling techniques is needed for this piece. Using paper, plastic, shell and metal blue flowers, swarovski crystals, plastic pearls, chains, aquamarine plump drops and matt silver frames, no lack of skill and effort in this piece!

This is surely one very very pretty pair!!

Something to share

Remember sometime ago I mentioned that I was working on a big project? Just wanted to share what this huge project was as well as seek your patience and support towards this humble blogshop of mine.

Sometime late last year, I got approached to have my goods consigned to a shop somewhere near the Bugis area. From the time I was approached to the day it finally kicked off, it took me 2.5 months. I did ground work, looked at the shop and it's products, thought through about how I wanted to make it work out..I got my logo up, my personalised cardboard up, my one-of-a-kind earrings and their description up, my invoices, my consignment contract etc. etc.

I'm pleased to announce that I've launched a new brand of jewelry in mid Feb 2011. I had deliberately seperate these two brands of jewelry due to vast differences in pricing structure. =( Despite that, buyers will still be able to enjoy the same style and quality, only that whatever that is featured here will not appear in the shopfront and vice versa. I'm not gonna revealed what this other brand is here, but you can email me privately if you want to know! =grins=

With that, I would like to seek your patience and support as juggling 2 lines of jewelry means part of earrings supplies will have to be allocated out. I'm not sure just yet how sales will be like, but when postings here slow down slightly, please be patient with us! Meanwhile, I'm excited at how my hobby has grown so much in the last year or so. Apologies for long silence here on this blog front, have been extremely busy with work over the last few weeks. Haven't had the time to create anything new just yet, so just bear with me as I post some of the past collections and pieces that has gone home to new owners.

Yu-er is one of the pieces I've create before the New Year. I've specially named it Yu-er to signify my wish for this New Lunar Year, that is to be abundant in joy and health!

Yu-er is gorgeous..just look at that beautiful piece of jade fish, army green, 100% natural, grade A with a layer of shimmer all over it..this recent lot of jade bought from HK is really pretty!

Coupled with swarovski crystals, carved cinnabar, a Mandarin cloisonne, connectors and more! This piece is pretty long and heavy, but I'm glad its new owner loves it!

Peacock Splendor ~ SOLD

On one side, a pretty red and green peacock perched on a tree stump cloisonne complemented with swarovski crystals and a kite-shaped bronze connector. To the other, a gold peacock charm hanging from a filigree done with flowers, swarovski crystals, leaf charm and more! Strawberry Milkshake ~ $35

Currently in the midst of packing my photos, recently computer had an overhaul so my photos were transferred to my lappie. Now computer's back, need to transfer my photos back onto the computer. Lotsa movement and re-installation of my photo editing program. Managed to spot something that I have had created a while back but never did put it up - Strawberry Milkshake!

Totally forgotten about this babe!! I'm so sorry!!

Strawberry Milkshake is my only burgundy tone earring. I only have 1 pair of that deep red clay flowers and have been extremely extremely reluctant to use them. But when I saw these charms, I knew it's time to put these flowers to good use!! Sweet sweet strawberries topped with think vanilla ice cream, blended perfectly till smooth! Yums!! My favorite milkshakes come from Billy Bombers! Tempted to get one right now!!

Back to Strawberry Milkshake! I've used cream freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals, charms from the USA, chains, connectors, flowers, czech glass white drop and more, to create this uberly sweet piece!! Colour tone suits almost ALL skin tones!! What are you waiting for?

Turquoise flowers specially hand-carried back from overseas! This is its first debut!

Arms of law ~ CUSTOMIZATION

A special request for the similar charms used in Guns and Roses, led me to creating this piece.

Using blue as my theme colour, this piece is a combination of various shades of blue and I love how they blend so nicely with each other.

Using my newly purchased aquamarine pear drops, plastic flowers, freshwater pearls, blue swarovski crystals, chains and that set of gun and handcuffs charm, Arms of law was "born".

Now as I post this and think about its new owner (by the way is a laywer), I'm find it quite amusing to have named this piece Arms of law.

It was purely a coinicidence! =P

Aurora ~ SOLD

(Chinese New Year Collection)

Aurora means daybreak and this name is so aptly used on this pair of earrings.

Just look at that lovely bi-colour jade donut, getting a piece of jade of the correct size is hard in itself, let alone a piece of white/yellow/orange jade. I bought this jade not having any particular design but when I paired it with this cloisonne, it was a match made in heaven! hehe!

The centrepiece is matched with a filigree full of bright coloured flowers, a tiny dragonfly charm, red/yellow/orange swarovski crystals and a bronze leaf. I've deliberately used solid colours to pair up with the jade donut so that the flowery cloisonne can be further enhanced! The tie-shaped cloisonne is simply done with matching swarovski crystals and a tiny golden butterfly charm. Aurora is indeed depicted in this piece of art!

Twilight ~ SOLD

(Petite Range)

This is one of my more petite cloisonne earrings. As most of the cloisonne earrings are usually rather long and paired with jade, we found it quite hard to accede to some of our customers' request to have smaller sized cloisonne. On our recent trip to Shanghai, we managed to source some newer and more petite designs of cloisonne.

Twilight is one of our first petite cloisonne creation. I've named it Twilight as I imagined myself admiring the fishes in a pond right under the moonlight. Dark and seemingly dull, but sparks of gold from the moonlight shines right through the pond, revealing life under the depths of darkness. Fishes and lovely red flowers thrive as the tranquility of the pond brings about a sense of peace and stillness. I'm not sure about you, but there is a beauty in the midst of stillness and calmness and I think we city people need to know how to appreciate that. =)

Totally love this petite creation! Parts consists of flowers, swarovski crystals, connectors, filigree, cloisonne and a tiny moss green jade fish.

A Mouse's Love for Cheese ~ SOLD

I made this creation about 2 months back. I spent a long while to get that mouse trap in place and when the final product was finished, I was really satisfied! I loved this quite a bit as it is really one of my more unique creations. It got sold on its second time of display.

You know how the sale of each creation brings about a bitter sweet feeling to me. On one hand, you've grown quite attached to your creation and wish it could stay around you a little longer. On the other, you're glad that it has found a new owner who knows how to appreciate it for its beauty. This is exactly how I feel about this piece!

Fairy Love ~ SOLD

You won't believe how hot this pair of earring was. The minute it was showed to one of my colleagues, she grabbed it. Subsequently, I received a string of orders for the exact same earring..Guess people seem to like the framed part of this earring. All of such earrings in my collection have been sold.

For your information, these frames are extremely hard to find and 90% of my frames are brought in from my overseas trips. I will do my best to source for more of these on my next trip!! Meanwhile, I apologise for the inability to recreate this particular design!!

Fairy Love is one of my first few "Western" pieces in our CNY Collection. Other than messing around with jade, I thought I'll make something bright and cheery to depict the new year mood. Fairy Love is done a soft hue of peachy pink. A very sweet pair of earrings!

I've used swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, peach clay flowers, plastic flowers, shell carved bird, a dragonfly charm, connectors, filigree, a golden fairy charm and the popular bronze-framed fairy!

Jade Drops: Circle of Life Junior ~ SOLD

My collection of jade drops has been so saleable that I've decided to make it a permanent item on my blogshop. The design is similar but the connectors, ear posts and jade drops are all different! Every now and then, I hope to be able source and create various types of jade drops earrings.

If you recall, sometime ago I created Jade Drops: Circle of Life. That pair brought me quite a number of enquiries. As the original piece was a lil larger than the usual size, a few of my customers asked for something smaller in size. On my recent trip overseas, I sourced and found some Grade A jade drops that were much smaller in size. And wala! Presenting you, Circle of Life Junior! hehehe!!

Smooth Grade A pale green jade drops with a fantastic shine done with super rounded pearls and rodium bling ear post! If you look very closely at the picture, you will be able to see the beauty of this piece. Every bit of this piece exudes a class of its own as they are all done with great quality materials. One timeless classic!

Findings are in 925 silver.

Now a lil update of my past month..

Week 1: Mad rush at work

With all quarter ending in December, I had reports after reports to complete..plus I had to clear as much of my work as possible in preparation for my leave in mid January.

Week 2: Our Business Trip

Both my sisty and I went on a buying trip in the middle of January. Though we spent slightly less than a week, we managed to visit Hong Kong and Shanghai..had great fun even as we were on our "business trip"! Very fruitful..came back with loads of stuff that cannot be found here as well as loads of stuff that can be found here at exorbitant prices! haha!

Week 3: Workshop reopens

We spent the following week creating new stuff in view of the nearer celebrations!! We just had to showcase our range of CNY collection before the New Year!!

Week 4: Catching up

I spent this week meeting with different individuals to showcase our new collection. I'm very honoured that even before the collection made it up here, it was 80% sold. =grins=

Introducing Life in a Lotus Pond!

This piece is the first of our entire CNY collection!

Featuring a very lively pale green jade fish brought back from overseas, this piece is absolutely oriental!

It was kept simple so that the beauty of both the jade fish and the black lotus cloisonne can be fully appreciated. Other complements include swarovski crystals, a red carved cinnabar, a red carved flower, golden filigree and gold chains!

Paired with 14k-goldfilled ear hooks, this is one stunner!

Happy 2011 to everyone!

First and foremost, I want to wish everyone a blessed year ahead! Can't believe how fast 2010 has past and now we're into yet another year..my new year prayer is for all to receive abundant health and experience overflowing joy in 2011!!

Secondly, I want to thank all who came by last night to the countdown bazaar! Though the bazaar was not up to expectations but your presence more than made up for it!! It warms my heart to be able to meet up with you!! For those whom it's my first time meeting, a big hello and welcome to my tiny blogshop. Please take your time to browse through my creations!! I hope you'll be amazed, just as how I am after the creation of each and every piece!

Thirdly, as mentioned, I want to take this opportunity to give thanks for 2010. 2010 has been a very fruitful year for myprettycreations. We did a total of 6 bazaars at 6 different locations..this has really been an eye opener for us. We have also met tons of new friends this year! Friends are always a gift from God. =) Also, we tried importing/buying/creating new stuff this year, which gave us alot more variety, inspirations and fun!! All in all, this year has been fantastic here at myprettycreations! We're very much looking forward to 2011...as yet, we have 1 very big project to kick off! More details much later!!

Lastly, I want to thank God for seeing me through this year. I thank Him for His many blessings upon my life and His providence in many aspects of my life. From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much!!

Poker is one hobby that has been introduced to me in the past couple of years.
Not that I do play in the game, but it is definitely an interesting game to consider.
More than just luck, the mind plays a very crucial role in the game.

Gone Fishing ~ SOLD

Sorry for the recent disappearance last weekend..want to take this opportunity to apologize to those who checked this blog but found nothing new listed..very very sorry!

Just some little updates - 2 weekends back, we had our Haji Lane bazaar that ended on a high note for us..we're in the midst of preparing our next bazaar. Would probably be after Christmas so for those who are looking out for some great gifts..you are always welcome to browse my blogshop! hehe!!
Meanwhile, last weekend I was at a retreat in Johor..took the Monday off. Had a great time of rest especially since I've approaching the busiest time of the year at work. But rest never seems to be enough..hehe!! =P

Gone fishing is a creation that exudes a sense of adventure and excitement! It's not the usual girlie/lacy/pastel-coloured earring. Instead, its blue being a very boyish colour, brings forth strength and adventure! Using great quality gold charms from the States, this piece is pretty simple in design but definitely one-of-a-kind!
Complementing the fish & rod charm and the "gone fishing" sign charm are flowers of all sorts, swarovski crystals, gold and bronze connectors, chains, etc. etc.! I looovvveee this tone of blue!! It can look formal/casual/chic/sexy, depending on the look you want to create, i'm almost sure you can quite achieve that with black and white!! Putting together something using the most basic of colours, I present to you Duality! Done in silver, white and black, Duality in interestingly done similar at the top but on opposite colours at the bottom. Flyaway depicts a bird which one day managed to break free from its ledge. Once chained to a ledge, this tiny white bird has found freedom in the arms of Mother Nature. Resting in the comfort of flora and fauna, this lil bird is enjoying its new found freedom!

Carefully designed with pearls, chains, swarovski crystals, flowers, czech glass drops, charms and so much more~! This piece of art is very very pretty! Extremely pleased with myself!!

Fish-Xiao Hei ~ SOLD

Xiao Hei means "small black" in Mandarin. This cute little fish will probably look like some small black thingy under an algae-filled pond! haha!

Similar to its sister piece, Zi Lan, Xiao Hei is kept very simple with only some green/black/maroon swarovski crystals, a bright gold filigree and two carved onyx black roses! So peeps, focus on that gorgeous eye-shaped black cloisonne and that cutsy little moss green jade fish!!

Fish-Zi Lan ~ SOLD

This fish series that I'd created quite a while ago had 3 pairs in it. Unfortunately, I've only managed to capture in picture 2 out of the 3..the third one was sold at one of my previous fleas held in SAM. Honestly, I've no idea how it looks like. That's the beauty of our work, we create base on inspiration so the designs are endless!

I've named this piece Zi Lan because of its blueish purple shade. Just look at the jade fish, doesn't it fit so well with this colour theme? Very simple embellishments of swarovski crystals, a lapis lazuli bead and a deep blue carved flower to bring out the butterfly cloisonne and a purple jade fish! A little heavy for some but just nice for others..this piece has gone home to a church friend of mine!

Using some of my new acquisition from the States, these charms are intricate! I really love the quality, feel and colour of them! This piece was done in soft hues of pink/peach as building sandcastles reminds me a lot of children having sun by the beach. One very sweet pair that went home with a lady who loves pink/cream/peach! You will know that she so suits these colours when you meet her!!
Looking at this pair speaks so much more than all the words I can ever write, so I'll keep this really short! This lovely babe went home with an extremely bubbly lady whom I met at the bazaar yesterday. Despite not having any ear holes, she whopped up many many pairs for her friends and loved ones. Thank you so much! It's people like you who believe in what we do, that's why we can continue on striving for the best! =)

To the left of Nestling, I've used a while cloisonne. White cloisonne are pretty hard to come by and this is probably the first I've ever seen. Complementing it are matching swarovski crystals and a white carved bone bead. To its right, I've wired a shell bird on top of a bunch of flowers and leaf, creating a nesting feel. Hanging from the 'nest' is a similar white carved bone bead, with gold chains. Lastly, bright sparks of red and blue crystals at the top to spice up the entire look.

My Love ~ CUSTOMIZED ORDER

Had this request from a customer early this month to create a piece of art for his wife's birthday. Very happy that at the end of all the hard work, his wife loved the gift! Guess that's what brings me most joy in this hobby. =)

I've used two beautiful ice barrel-shaped jade, together with baby blue clay flowers, swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls.

Hanging from rodium bling studs, this pair is awesomely gorgeous!

Bakery ~ SOLD

I throughly enjoy charms, so much so that I'm toying with the idea of specially flying some of them in just for my creations. haha!

Lead-free pewter charms - a muffin pan and an electronic mixer, showcases the essentials of muffin-baking. Done in a lovely shade of purple, this creation consists of clay flowers, plastic flowers, czezh glass white drops, swarovski crystals, chains, ribbon charm, freshwater pearls, filigree, a muffin pan charm and an electronic mixer charm.

Emotions ~ SOLD

(at Flock to Shop, Haji Lane)

I've once used these charms to create something similar to Emotions, but it walked home with a pretty young lady even before I could picture and name it. This creation was done in remembrance of it..hehe!! Emotions is the first piece I've made using such elongated filigrees. Pleasantly surprised by the end product..looked a lot better than what I had expected it to. In fact this is probably the best, after many edited versions that did not make it pass my mark.

Emotions feature two distinct gold faces..one happy and the other sad. These beautiful charms are slight antique gold, brought back from the States, so you'll never find them here in Singapore. Complementing these lovely charms are flowers, freshwater pearls, a gold leaf charm and a cherry quartz drop. A slight variation from my usual creations, Emotions is pretty less complicated, but still just as lovely.

I'm very pleased with it.

Reflection ~ $32

Reflection is one simple design. Soft and dark blue hues contrasting each other, together with 2 beautiful silver butterflies makes this entire piece a very easy-to-wear piece.

I've used flowers, czech glass, clay and plastic, a blue stone, swarovski crystals, tiny plastic pearls, chains, butterfly and leaf charms and a dark blue stone (which, I seriously have no idea what it is, grins).

An easy-to-wear, yet not sparing any effort..I present to you..Reflection!

Amusement Park ~ SOLD

Amusement Parks are great fun! Not that I particular am crazy about them, but I genuinely enjoy going there once in a while! I must say that I've had the privilege to visit quite a number of them..and I think the one we have right home in Singapore is comparable to the ones overseas. One very important criteria in my liking an amusement park is the atmosphere that it creates. It has to have the ability to make me feel "lost" in fun, make me go "wow" and it has to have never ending activities/shows/rides/shops to keep me interested the entire day. At the end of the day, I must feel tired but satisfied. This to me, is a true blue amusement park. What about you?

Amusement Park is a rather simple piece, done intentional so that the two beautiful charms can stand out even more. You may not know but the Ferris Wheel and the merry-go-round are lead-free pewter charms imported from the States. They are not cheap and you can quite easily tell their quality right? I've also used rose quartz beads, swarovski crystals, clay flowers, freshwater pearls, bling, chains, rose glass drops and a ribbon charm.

Wow, this post is long..now it's time for me to shut my mouth so you can truly enjoy the effort gone into Amusement Park.

Under the evening sun ~ SOLD

I can't really explain why I felt this way when I first saw my finished creation - I thought it looked like day was just about to end and night was just about to turn alive. Probably, it is the mixture of deep purple, black and warm gold that gives me this sense of evening..when the sun can still be seen setting in a deep orange, whilst parts of the skies have already welcomed darkness. The rays of the sun are still visible to all, just like that tinge of orange. This could be that garden in your neighbourhood!!

Materials used here consists of amethyst nuggets and carved flower, an elongated purple/black cloisonné, swarovski crystals, a matte gold butterfly, a black glass drop, clay and metal flowers! It's been a unique piece of art, what a pity I can't remember who this pair went home with. =(

I would have loved to know every single one of my customers.

Garden Orient ~ SOLD

Love those green olive jade flowers! It's been a while since I've kept them in my stash, the colour is extremely unique..you either love it or hate it! And they are almost no where to be found in Singapore, the store I bought it from has since shut its doors..=P

Matching these beautiful carved stones are a cloisonné, a golden filigree, swarovski crystals, flowers, a black swarovski teardrop and a matte black butterfly charm. Hanging from gold plated ear hooks, Garden Orient drops approx 5inches for a longer one and 4 inches for the shorter one. (This is a very very rough gauge! Do let me know if you want a more accurate length.)

Tree House ~ SOLD

It's been awhile since I last used this colour of red in my creation.

Tree House satisfies a certain want in me..a want to own a tree house..to be able to climb up and spend the afternoon high up amongst those trees. Beautiful, huh?

The stars of Tree House are a tree house charm (duh), a leaf charm and butterfly charms. Because of the usage of 3 types of charms, this piece goes at a little more pricey than other pieces. These charms come from the States and they are very intricate and precise in their design. Putting them all together, I've included clay and czech glass flowers, freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals and watermelon-coloured pear drops!

Will surely spice up any simple outfit!!

Photography ~ SOLD

Love this creation of mine to bits! I try very hard to make each and every piece with one distinct feature..but for those who design, you will come to realise that the Singapore market has way too little materials to keep your interesting creations coming. That is totally how I feel.

Don't you designers out there share the same sentiments?

This huge camera hanging to the left used to be a ear stud. Hailing from the markets in Bangkok, it came in a pair until I split them apart. When my eyes caught it, I just knew I had to bring it back. It took a while to find its match and I'm very glad this piece is yet another one-of-a-kind creation in my collection.

I kept it very simple. Using a plastic black rose, swarovski crystals and a black teardrop to complement that large bling camera stud, I must say it looks very pretty. hehe! The other has a black metal rose attached to a large golden filigree. From it dangles more swarovski crystals, a black round bead, chains and a lovely bronze camera charm.

Definitely a unique piece!

Unstoppable Flight ~ SOLD

Up till today I can still remember the expression she gave me when I told her I named this piece unstoppable flight! haha!! My rationale for it is that the two birds look like they're suddenly halting from an extremely fast flight so as not to bang into a tree truck or something.

hehe! Very cute huh?

Trying a different shade of purple, this pair is much subtle than most of my creations. Having symmetrical sides for a change, Unstoppable Flight consists of clay flowers, czech glass flowers, inverted czech glass drops, pearls, chains, leaves, swarovski crystals and of course, not forgetting two beautiful humming bird charms!

An interesting piece meant for a gift!

Bambi ~ $35

It's been a great weekend at the flea..those traffic wasn't good but I'm glad I met some very supportive customers..made some very lovely friends and had some very wonderful conversations. Thank you everyone for the support and encouraging comments!!

Bambi is another addition to the childhood series. Using pastel colours, Bambi was brought to a greater attention. The entire piece depicts Bambi running around in a forest filled with small white and soft pink flowers. The colours also hope to show Bambi's soft and gentle character.

Bambi uses clay flowers, czech glass flowers, swarovski crystals, a rose quartz briolette, an authentic Bambi charm, a large gold bird charm and so much more!

Will look perfect on jet-black hair!!

We'll be at a flea this weekend. Sorry for the very last minute notice. My slot in his flea was only confirmed a couple of days back and I have been super busy at work..hence the tardiness in updating this space. Thank you for your continuous support and patience. =)

Huat ~ SOLD

This pair holds a very special place in my heart!

It is one of my most interesting piece to date! Being a Singaporean Chinese, mahjong is so much a part of our lives. And there came my inspiration for this!

I've put together 2 kinds of "fa" tiles (both of which used to be key chains), flowers, oriental fan filigress, chains, swarovski crystals and more to create this very interesting pair.

I'm almost sure this will bring you tons of attention! haha!!

Hunny-licious ~ $40

An original Pooh keychain was used as a centrepiece for Hunny-licious.

Super cute! I've deliberately matched Pooh with his inseparable honey comb. A lot of effort and materials have gone into creating this pair and I really enjoy the fruits of my labour. hehe!

Materials used include a honey comb and two different types of bee charms, swarovski crystals, flowers of all sorts, freshwater pearls and so much more! No wonder the piece is slightly steeper than my usual, but rest assured you're definitely getting a good bargain here!

Birds of Ecuador ~ SOLD

This beautiful piece was done and named after seeing a picture of colourful birds in Ecuador flying so freely in thick lush forests. I like how this piece fused both an enamel cloisonné with a caged bird charm. The contrast of freedom shows what is truly inside the mind of each bird.

To one side, I've used an enamel cloisonné with a turquoise carved flower and colourful swarovski crystals. The other consists of a golden caged bird charm hanging from a lovely gold connector, with a teardrop and swarovski crystals to sparkle to entire piece.

Prosperity Fish ~ $42

I really love jade fishes! They are so versatile..they come in all shapes and colours!

Prosperity Fish depicts this one beautiful fish with a large tail swimming around in a pond filled with red and orange flowers. As the pond is slight murky, you'll need to take a closer look to find Prosperity weaving in and out of the leaves. Beautiful, isn't?

Parts include a mandarin cloisonné on one side, topped with a dark black flower and swarovski crystals. To the other, Prosperity is matched perfectly with swarovski crystals and a gold filigree wired with black and pink flowers.

Yet another of our amazing jade pieces..=)

Victorian ~ $35

This is sooooo Victorian!!!

I can totally imagine a group of ladies dressed in puffy victorian dresses, with large hats decorated with flowers/ribbons/lace, strolling in a park full of greenery..on a backdrop of mountains. With bright sunlight and nice cool weather, the entire park is filled with giggles, chatter and the sound of nature.

I can go on and on..haha!!

This pair contains 2 types of charms, a rose quartz teardrop, flowers, connectors, swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, chains and so so much more!

Jade Drops: Circle of Life ~ SOLD

For those who know me well enough would know that I've a very soft spot for jade. Ever since I've started this business, I made it a point to create earrings that bring out the best in jade. I don't believe that jade is old and boring, in fact I enjoy the process of making them into trendy and fashionable stuff.

This piece is no different. A very very lovely pair of jade drops..albeit a little heavy. Grade A natural Burmese jade with all the green and white inclusions is complemented with top quality freshwater pearls. You can see the luster on my pearls and the shine on those jade drops.

Drop-dead gorgeous! Hanging from rhodium ear studs, all other findings are 925 silver.

I'm sure you can't find another pair tagged at $85.

Expensive but definitely worth every cent you fork out.

One very simple but eye-catching pair. Like every one of my earrings, this pair features a hot girl getting all ready for a all-night-long party. Clad in a sexy black tube dress with boots knee high, this girl's sure to get lotsa of attention. Done mainly with swarovski crystals and black flowers, blue and black are colours that can be matched with almost any outfit.

I'm sure there's always a reason to put this piece on!

Sushi Platter ~ $35

Sushi Platter is one of my favourites this season!

If you look carefully, you'll probably be able to spot a huge salmon sushi. It was a keychain before I transformed it! Matching this yummy sushi are swarovski crystals, a gold bling ball and a filigree filled with flowers, freshwater pearls and more. The other side is just as interesting, I've used a sushi platter charm, chains, connector, swarovski crystals and a smaller filigree packed with flowers and freshwater pearls.

A very unique piece of creation!

Flying Phoenix ~ SOLD

I've kept the fan time for the longest time I can remember. This fan charm is so precious to me because of its intricacy. The prints on it, the quality..I couldn't bear to part with it! But when I saw this flying phonenix cloisonne, I knew it was a perfect match.
To the right, the intricate fan charm, a barrel-shaped yellow jade, a connector with a carved red coral flower, swarovski crystals and chains. To the left, a flying phoenix cloisonne, swarovski crystals, a yellow barrel-shaped jade and a golden ring with carved red flower.

Infinity Beauty ~ CUSTOMIZED

This oriental chic was a request from one of my clients.
She fell in love with one of my past designs and requested for something similar. Digging from my pile of goodies, I came up with Infinity Beauty.
Super feminine, super gorgeous!
Just look at the combination of colours..strong, sexy yet oriental~!
I've used a cinnabar carved bead, an infinity jade, swarovski crystals, 2 carved black roses and my very last cloisonne of that design.
Glad it went to someone who appreciates my creations!

Cheshire ~ $35

I love this piece alot!
Just look at the Cheshire charm! It's so cute ya? Sometime ago I used the rabbit charm in Alice and Wonderland for a pair named I'm late I'm late, Cheshire is a sequel to that creation. hehe! I realise in my creations that I like to make more than 1 pair of earring with similar themes.
Guess when inspiration comes, it comes in a "group"! =)

Like the rabbit charm, Cheshire is authentic from Disneyland.
I've carefully wired Cheshire onto a bronze tree..just where it ought to be..appearing on some tree. Enveloping Cheshire are pink flowers and a few freshwater pearls. To the other side, I've matched a shell carved bird with the same bunch of pinkies, a bling ball, swarovski crystals, chains and a bronze leaf charm to give it a forested feel.
I suddenly feel like Alice, lost in a pink forest!

A Toast ~ SOLD

Deep dark red representing the colour of wine. This pair is dedicated to all wine-lovers out there. Putting together a wine-opener and a bottle of wine, A Toast invites people to a drink or two after a long hard day at work. Looking at this creation reminds me of the times when my friends and I meet up for drink after work. The chats and laughters can never be explained in words. I cherish those times. =)

When I first saw this cute blue elephant, I told myself I'm gonna make a plushie edition.

Together with another plushie, this edition is very unique as I've explored various new materials and colours!

I can't quite remember the last time I made a baby blue creation but this one is definitely very pretty. Soft shades of blue and pink, done with silver and white..very pure, very bright, very sweet. The parts consists of a baby elephant keychain, swarovski crystals, 2 different matt connectors, a rose quartz drop, flowers and more!
